Shanghai navigator series 581 automatic wristwatch

Since the 1st Shanghai watch was born in 1955, the most representative masterpiece has been the widely touted A581 created in 1958. Today in commemorating A581, the Shanghai watch factory introduces this new product with the same model number 581.

It has the latest RK4 35-jewel movement. Apart from the traditional three hands, it has a long calendar hand and a 24-hour sub-dial at 6 o’clock. The tip of the long calendar hand is shaped like a crescent moon. Unlike many other watches that use the push-button to adjust date, its date is adjusted by pulling out the crown with one click. Pull out two clicks, second-hand stops, and turn the minute hand clockwise to adjust time.

This is a relatively small, well-crafted timepiece full of characters, similar to the old A581. The white front face appears larger, although its diameter measures 37mm excluding crown, 39mm including crown, and 13mm thick.
