Sea-Gull M199S chronograph with moonphase ST1908

The package arrive in one week by EMS, with Seagull box and manual. For less than 1% of the price, you get a high quality watch as homage to Patek Philippe Grand Complication Chronograph (of course, there is no perpetual calendar or split-second for such low price). Below is my review in first impression with scale of 10 as the highest: Movement: I think Seagull ST1908 is based on Lemania movement which was used in both Omega and Patek Philippe. The movement looks solid and quite. 9 The stainless case is of superior quality with mirror finish and feel of solid weight. 9.5 Glass: I do a water test, it appears to be mineral crystal not sapphire, although this test is not conclusive, I want to point out my tourbillon (both front and back), iphone5S all pass the water test as sapphire. I hear that sapphire hardness makes it easier to shatter than mineral crystals. So if you wear your watch while engaged in very physical activities, you may want to look for a domed mineral crystal like this wacth. The major drawback of mineral crystals is that they scratch much easier than sapphire crystals. Some say they also look "cheaper" in the way they reflect light. Others say they look "classic" on certain watches. The leather strap feel durable with matte finish. The butterfly deployment is tight for me with thin wrist, hopefully, it will get looser after use. 9 The design and color of the dial give the watch a classic look, similar to Patek so what can you say 9.5 I test functions: stop watch, date and moon phase, all work fine and reset zero. 10 Overall, I give my purchase a score of 9 out of 10
