Q:

I just received this watch yesterday and it does not keep the time it stops. Can you please help me?

A:

Please hand-wind 20 times, it will run. If you wear an automatic watch several hours or have sufficient movement of your hands in one day, you do not need to hand-wind as it is already wound automatically by its self-winding rotor on the back. Otherwise treat it as manual-winding watch, hand-winding 20-30 times each day. The majority of mechanical watches can run more than 36 hours but less than 48 hours after full-winding.

Q:

When you wind this watch, do you go back and forth or just one way?

A:

Go one way only - turn the crown clockwise because only the clockwise motion adds energy to the internal spring that stores power. You will be more experienced in playing mechanical watches as time goes by.
