One circle composes a
watch. Another small circle sketches small second hand sub-dial. Twelve lines
represent hours. Another twelve small lines show seconds. Finally three more
sword-shaped lines add three hands. That's all it is – free from all
ostentation or superficial embellishment. Hence the name Vanilla. Indeed it
looks and feels like plain vanilla ice cream.
This timepiece is built
very thin - only 6mm thickness of the case, plus 3.35mm thickness of the domed
The surface of front dial
is flat, actually. It is uplifted in a circle along midpoints on hour indices,
thus creating a visual illusion the front dial is convex that it is curved or
rounded like the exterior of a sphere.
Four lugs are curved
downward so deeply that the overall convex feeling of front dial is maximized.
The lug width is 20mm.
1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10 and
11 o'clock are printed in lines on the surface of dial. 3, 6, 9 and 12 o'clock
are made of metal bars in either silver or rose gold. Hour and minute hands are
sword-shaped. Independent small second is located at 6 o'clock.
timepiece is presented in two elegant designs - the silver case, silver
indices, white face; the rose gold case, rose gold indices, white face. Please choose at pull-down order menu.
Color of leather strap comes in either black or brown, will be randomly
selected unless specified in order form.
The see-through display
case back reveals ST17 movement polished beautifully in Geneva patterns.
Initially ST17 is an automatic movement. Modified to be manual hand-wound after
its self-winding rotor has been removed.
When winding this watch,
continue to twist crown clock-wise in one direction for 55 times is sufficient
to wind the mainspring fully. It is recommended to wind the watch at the same
time every day for consistency. For example, it is probably better to wind in
the morning each day to ensure the highest performance.
